The purity of sorrow — a heart’s rending
Nicole Rose had always been aware of her innate sense of profound ancestral sorrow. It spoke to her with reverent guidance and opened her heart to listening. Then she entered another state of being during the life event of losing her husband in tragic circumstance. She was left a widow with two young children. Her emotions were ruled by a depth of sorrow that she had never felt before. The deepest distress borne by loss, disappointment and misfortune. Her own, her children’s and what had been lost to them.

Time’s spiritual finding
Nicole Rose became compelled to create. She asked, what can we do with our grief, this unyielding emotion? Where can we go to heal and how can we acknowledge it? Distille Sorrow unfolded from her reflections upon the rose. The essence of its imagery and meaning provided care to her during her loss and mourning. She wanted to create this tranquil place and product for others from all faiths.
